A wind-whipped hearth tore by an ocean-front dwelling in Scituate Friday, gutting the $1.2 million dwelling.
“Strong winds and storm conditions have further complicated the operation. Crews are actively working to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighboring homes,” Scituate police stated in an announcement.
Firefighters from Cohasset, Hingham, Marshfield, Norwell and Pembroke assisted. No phrase on any accidents.
