2 brothers arrested, charged with Abington slay

Date:

Two brothers have been arrested on costs linked to a brutal beating loss of life of an Abington man, who was discovered useless in his yard late final month.

Police arrested Suzito Lopes, 43, of Quincy, at his dwelling Monday night. His brother, Antonio Lopes, 37, of Taunton, turned himself in Tuesday morning on the Abington Police Division, in response to the Plymouth District Lawyer’s workplace.

Native police carried out a welfare examine on the residence of Anthony Leverone, 43, the night of Dec. 27, 2024, after a caller requested it. They discovered Leverone unresponsive within the yard of the house on the 500-block of Plymouth Road.

The preliminary investigation indicated that Leverone “died of blunt force trauma, and high impact injuries,” the DA’s workplace wrote in an announcement on the time. Medical personnel of the Abington Hearth Division pronounced him useless on the scene.

The preliminary DA assertion indicated that they suspected two males identified to the sufferer. Neither assertion elaborated on that principle.
