4 children at a Massachusetts day camp have been hit by an enormous tree department: Police

Date:

4 children attending a neighborhood day camp have been hit by an enormous falling tree department, sending three of the campers to the hospital on Thursday.

The department weighing “thousands of pounds” reportedly broke off a tree on the Father Mac’s Playground in Norwood, the place the recreation division holds a day camp.

That falling department then struck 4 of the campers who have been sitting on a bench beneath the tree.

Three of the children have been transported to space hospitals. The worst damage was reportedly an ankle damage.

“No injuries were serious,” Norwood Police Chief Christopher Padden advised reporters on the scene. “One girl had her foot pinned under a portion of the tree, but everybody looks like they’re going to be OK.”

Firefighters used their instruments to raise the heavy department that weighed “thousands of pounds,” Padden stated.

“The branch was very heavy, it was a very big branch,” the chief added. “We were very fortunate that there weren’t more kids because if that branch had landed on somebody, it would have been a lot worse.”

Many campers have been away on a subject journey, so the camp wasn’t as full as regular.
