9 folks arrested after Boston anti-abortion ‘Men’s March’ attracts counter-protest, police say

A march towards abortion rights that began outdoors of a Deliberate Parenthood in Boston and drew counter-protesters clad in clown gear ended Saturday with 9 folks arrested for disorderly conduct, based on a spokesperson for the Boston Police Division.

The police spokesperson didn’t say whether or not the folks arrested had been a part of the “National Men’s March,” which billed itself as an occasion to “abolish abortion and rally for personhood,” or the “Clown March,” a counter-protest that stated it wished to “greet them with a joyful display of resistance.”

“The Men’s March is not welcome here, and we will not allow their narrative to go uncontested,” counter-protesters stated.
