The 911 emergency system was down throughout the Bay State Tuesday afternoon, in accordance with native police and fireplace departments.
Companies beginning letting the general public know in regards to the outage at round 1:45 p.m. Tuesday.
“The current 911 system is down statewide,” Boston Fireplace posted. “… if you have an emergency and need assistance pull your nearest Fire Box, or call the Boston Fire Department at 617-343-2880.
“You can also get assistance by going to your nearest Firehouse,” the hearth division added.
Boston Police instructed residents who need assistance to name their native police district station.
“Boston Police will be patrolling with their blue lights activated for high visibility,” BPD posted.
Different police and fireplace departments throughout the area had been additionally letting residents know of the outage.
“We have been made aware that there is an issue affecting the 911 system statewide,” Wilmington Police posted. “If you need to contact us, please call our business line at 978-658-5071 and press option 1 to be connected to our Dispatch Center.”
The Massachusetts Govt Workplace of Public Security and Safety mentioned the State 911 Division was conscious of “a disruption to the 911 system and is investigating the cause. If you are experiencing an emergency, please use the direct line for your local police department.”
