Greenland 2: Migration teaser poster showcases the second of influence on the Earth

Issues have been seemingly all quiet on the Greenland entrance. However the sequel to the Gerard Butler catastrophe movie is again on the radar with a little bit blip. The unique Ric Roman Waugh thriller, Greenland, starred Butler and Morena Baccarin and follows a household’s wrestle to get to emergency proceedings as they’re chosen for shelter from the approaching doom of a comet hurling towards our planet. Not like most catastrophe movies, this story was informed from the attitude of on a regular basis residents merely attempting to evade the loopy panic of the inhabitants and authorities proceedings in an effort to search refuge.

The plot reads, “The Garrity family must leave the safety of the Greenland bunker after the comet ‘Clarke’ decimated the earth and the family embarks on a harrowing journey across the wasteland of Europe to find a new home”.

When Greenland 2: Migration was being shopped round, it turned a scorching commodity. The post-apocalyptic film was bought within the largest deal to happen on the Cannes digital market, with STX making a large $75 million deal. Home rights for the movie have been purchased for $25 million, whereas STX will even take all worldwide rights from Anton in a pact that hits round $50 million. Apparently, a number of streamers have been attempting to snag the sequel, and STX made certain to be first in line for it. STX distributed the unique film they usually had an identical choice to seize the sequel. 

Producing this installment are Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee of Thunder Highway Photos, Anton’s Sébastien Raybaud and John Zois, G-BASE’s Butler and Alan Siegel, and CineMachine’s Brendon Boyea.
