Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) stated that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement brokers are “doing the Lord’s work” amid widespread scrutiny over the company’s aggressive insurance policies beneath the second Trump administration.
“I think the ICE agents are doing the Lord’s work. They’re doing what the president promised the American people he was going to do when he ran for the job and was elected in a big way,” Jordan stated Sunday whereas showing on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
Noting that the brokers are “doing their duty,” Jordan known as the “pushback” ICE has been getting “interesting.”
“So, I think they’re doing their duty. What’s interesting is the pushback they’re getting in these sanctuary jurisdictions and these ICE-free zones, where many times they’re coming to — they’ve sent a detainer to the facility, and they will release the person to the streets, the bad guy to the streets, and won’t work with ICE at all,” he informed host Dana Bash.
Since taking workplace in January, Trump has made sweeping mass deportations, which he repeatedly promised throughout his marketing campaign.
In June, Trump ordered federal immigration officers to prioritize deportations from Democratic-run cities after protests ensued in main cities in response to his administration’s immigration insurance policies.
