Boston Police Blotter: 9 scooters seized in Hyde Park in newest sweep

The Boston Police Division introduced one more focused takedown of illegally operated scooters and mopeds within the metropolis.

“The initiative was organized in response to ongoing public safety concerns regarding the use of these vehicles, which have been linked to motor vehicle violations and, in some cases, violent crimes,” the division wrote in a press release.

This time officers seized 9 mopeds in Hyde Park and issued a slew of citations and summonses for motorized vehicle violations.

The division has been conducting focused enforcement in several neighborhoods of the town and ask the general public’s assist to report criminal activity.
