Federal immigration enforcement authorities have detained the mom of Karoline Leavitt’s nephew in Massachusetts, as officers say the Brazilian nationwide has “not spoken” with the White Home press secretary’s household in “many years.”
Brokers with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained Bruna Ferreira, 33, in Revere earlier this month, with the prison unlawful alien, reportedly arrested for battery beforehand, in custody at an ICE facility in Louisiana.
“This individual is the mother of Karoline’s nephew,” a White Home official has stated, “and they have not spoken in many years. The child has lived full time in New Hampshire with his father since he was born. He has never resided with his mother.”
The Boston Globe first reported Tuesday that Ferreira’s sister, Graziela Dos Santos Rodrigues, stated the lady and Leavitt’s brother, Michael Leavitt Sr., 35, have been damaged up for over a decade. They share custody of their 11-year-old son, Michael Leavitt Jr.
“ICE arrested Bruna Caroline Ferreria, a criminal illegal alien from Brazil,” Division of Homeland Safety spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin stated in a press release. “She has a previous arrest for battery. She entered the US on a B2 tourist visa that required her to depart the US by 6 June 1999. She is currently at the South Louisiana ICE Processing Center and is in removal proceedings.”
“Under President Trump and Secretary Noem,” McLaughlin added, “all individuals unlawfully present in the United States are subject to deportation.”
Karoline Leavitt, 28, of Atkinson, N.H., serves as Trump’s press secretary, making historical past this previous January when the president tapped her because the youngest particular person ever to guide the White Home communications staff.
