Firefighters battle five-alarm fireplace in Chelsea constructing

Groups of firefighters are responding to a five-alarm fireplace engulfing a Chelsea constructing on Revere Seaside Parkway, in line with studies from the realm.

The hearth is reportedly within the former former Russo’s Tuxedo store, the Everett firefighters union mentioned in a put up on X, previously Twitter. Cambridge firefighters additionally reported they’ve groups responding to supply mutual help, in line with a put up on X.

“STAY CLEAR of the fire scene at 320 Revere Beach Parkway,” Chelsea Police posted on X. “Route 16 eastbound and westbound is completely shut down between Washington Ave and the Revere line. Vehicles should avoid the Prattville area as well as most roads are blocked off.”

The Chelsea Scanner reported the hearth, then at two alarms, simply after 10 a.m. The hearth reportedly jumped to 5 alarms simply after 11 a.m. Photographs from the scene present clouds of smoke pouring from the big constructing as groups work to manage the blaze.
