Twister touches down throughout elements of Massachusetts, Rhode Island: Nationwide Climate Service

The wild climate that ripped via the area Wednesday night time included a twister, in keeping with the Nationwide Climate Service’s Boston workplace.

Meteorologists confirmed {that a} twister touched down throughout elements of Massachusetts and Rhode Island, NWS Boston reported on Thursday.

The EF-1 twister with max winds of 100 mph began in Rhode Island and traveled into the Bay State, the place it led to North Attleboro. Storm injury was reported there on Thursday.

“Survey teams confirmed a tornado which occurred late evening on June 26th,” NWS Boston posted.

“Started in Lincoln, RI & tracked through Cumberland, RI & ended in North Attleborough, MA,” the Boston climate workplace added.

The twister’s path size was 4.3 miles, and it had a most width of 100 yards.

Timber reportedly fell onto properties throughout the storm. No deaths and accidents had been reported.

The Massachusetts Emergency Administration Company was reporting tree injury in North Attleboro.
