Colin Jost knew he had a future with Scarlett Johansson when he noticed how nicely she dealt with a difficult side of her life.
Over the weekend, the “Saturday Night Live” forged member opened as much as the New York Instances about his relationship together with his spouse, noting that regardless of being a film star, she is fairly good about doing “normal stuff,” too.
“She goes to the supermarket. She’s just very good at wearing a hat and she keeps moving,” Jost mentioned. “She is able to stay a little under the radar, but she’s able to do all these everyday things and enjoy them, too.”
This down-to-earth angle attributed to a top quality Jost mentioned he couldn’t resist.
“I think part of the reason I fell in love with her is she’s a great mom,” the comic revealed.
The couple, who tied the knot in October 2020, have a 2-year-old son, Cosmo. Johansson can also be mother to daughter Rose Dorothy, 9, who she shares with ex-husband Romain Dauriac.
“I’ve known Rose, my stepdaughter, since she was 2,” Jost informed the Instances. “It’s weird. You get to actually preview someone as a mom.”
The “Fly Me to the Moon” star has additionally revealed her causes for falling for Jost — and so they even have quite a bit to do together with his character.
“I never realized, oh, it’s really important for me — like, I need to be with a compassionate person,” Johansson informed Gwyneth Paltrow on the “The Goop Podcast” final 12 months. “That’s like a fundamental characteristic that has to be there.”
