Purple Line to remained closed for week of restore work

The Purple Line will stay closed between JFK/UMass and Kendall/MIT by Aug. 25 for restore work, leaving riders to navigate shuttle buses and alternate routes by the week.

Free shuttle buses will change the Purple Line in the course of the outage, the MBTA reported in bulletins. The shuttle will skip Park Road and has “an indirect stop at Downtown Crossing,” the T continued, recommending riders catch the shuttle at Haymarket and State Road as a substitute.
