Drum & bass vet BCee is again with a brand new album, These Are The Days, his eighth in an illustrious profession spanning over twenty years.
The vocal-driven album pulses with a vibrant, soul-drenched heartbeat, mixing emotive highs with the bittersweet undertow of fleeting time. The Spearhead Information founder superbly explores the nuances of pleasure and battle as they intermingle by our passing years.
His melodies weave by liquid drum & bass with a quiet confidence, generally hovering, generally sinking deep into introspective grooves. By way of standouts like “Straight to Your Heart” and “Hurt Each Other,” BCee bottles a uncooked, reflective vitality and reminds us that today—whether or not blissful or bruising—are the one ones we get.
Opening up concerning the new album, BCee says he wished to discover songwriting and drum & bass in methods his followers hadn’t but heard.
“Something new compared to my previous albums is that every single one of the tracks is a full vocal song collaborating with different vocalists throughout,” he explains. “The title These Are The Days reflects a duality: celebrating the good times while recognizing that these are the only days we get.
