When she first signed on to work with the shapewear firm Skims, the Kim Kardashian-owned model had no plans to spotlight Munn’s mastectomy scars.
“It was just to do their shapewear and their new leggings, and it wasn’t about my scar at all,” defined the mom of two, who has undergone a number of surgical procedures since being recognized with luminal B breast most cancers in April 2023.

And we talked it out and we decided to do it.”

Although Munn admitted it was “scary” to disclose her scars, baring that a part of her physique allowed for a profound emotional launch, she mentioned.
“I feel like this is something I’ve been hiding for a long time now, and it just feels like I can breathe a little bit more,” the actor defined.

“Knowing there are so many women that have these same scars as me, I know that so many of them feel the same way I felt about them for so long. And I hope that they see the Skims campaign,” she mentioned.
“Skims is so iconic and associated with beauty and sex appeal, and cancer really doesn’t have that same connotation,” the star went on. “So I just really hope that other women who have gone through my same path feel a little better after seeing it.”
