Rob Lowe and Demi Moore, two of the largest stars to emerge from the so-called “Brat Pack” of the Nineteen Eighties, appeared collectively within the era-defining movies “About Last Night” and “St. Elmo’s Fire.” In accordance with Lowe, the pair’s on-screen chemistry spilled over into actual life.
Showing on Kelly Ripa’s “Let’s Talk Off Camera” podcast this week, the “9-1-1: Lone Star” actor acknowledged that he and Moore had a short-lived romance.
After joking {that a} “big, big sex orgy” befell behind the scenes of “St. Elmo’s Fire,” he instructed Ripa: “Demi and I briefly — I’m not telling tales out of school — we briefly had a thing.”
Although Lowe didn’t specify the precise timeline of his relationship with Moore, he famous it was earlier than she obtained engaged to a different “St. Elmo’s Fire” actor, Emilio Estevez.
“Look, anytime you put young 20-something men and women together, hookups are inevitable,” he quipped. “I don’t think that has changed.”

Moore broke off her engagement to Estevez in 1986 and, a few yr later, she married actor Bruce Willis. She remained on good phrases with each Estevez and Lowe. Lowe instructed Ripa that they had been each company at her wedding ceremony.

Although the unique “St. Elmo’s Fire” was a coming-of-age story that chronicled the lives of characters of their 20s, Lowe believes a sequel would supply viewers a reminder that “it’s never too late for happiness.”
“You know, because our kids are out of school, and maybe some of us have been divorced … all the things that you deal with as you get to our ages, this is an opportunity to explore those themes with characters that people know and love,” he defined. “I actually think there’s a lot to be said about why we’re doing it and I’m super excited about it. Hopefully we can pull it off.”
