DA: Hyde Park mother threatened prosecutor at son’s arraignment

A Hyde Park lady is charged with threatening the prosecutor at her son’s arraignment.

“Watch your back,” Felicia Rodriguez allegedly stated throughout her son’s arraignment at municipal court docket in West Roxbury, an announcement which prosecutors say was captured on the court docket’s audio recording system.

The choose overseeing the arraignment, Choose Kathleen Coffey, ordered court docket officers to take Rodriguez into custody, based on the Suffolk District Legal professional’s workplace.

Rodriguez, 46, now faces expenses of intimidating a court docket official, threats to commit a criminal offense and civil rights violation.

Choose Vanessa Velez set a $200 bail at Rodriguez’s court docket look Thursday. Rodriguez is due again in court docket on Dec. 19.

“Anyone who thinks they can threaten a prosecutor, a judge or any other court official without consequences is very much mistaken,” Suffolk DA Kevin Hayden stated in an emailed assertion. “We will not tolerate such threats in any shape or form.”
