David Koepp, author of the upcoming Jurassic World Rebirth, says the sequel needs to get again to the tone of the unique film.
Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park is a basic. Over time, the following sequels have tried to faucet into what made the primary one so particular, and Jurassic World Rebirth shall be no exception. Whereas talking on The Discourse podcast, Jurassic World Rebirth screenwriter David Koepp (who co-wrote the unique film) mentioned Spielberg and himself have been all for returning to the tone of Jurassic Park.
“I hope people like the movie because the series tended to change after three, and it felt like, ‘Okay, so let’s change our tone.’ Steven [Spielberg] and I were interested in a tone that was maybe more akin to the very first movie,” Koepp mentioned. “I noticed it early on as a mission film. I like issues which can be pushed by bottles, by containment, ?“
Koepp continued, “And so, growing a restricted group and a factor that they’ve to perform – that was all actually enjoyable. And it was simply enjoyable to return to that world of nice journey backed by actual science and write some cool new characters. You don’t usually get an opportunity to have a clean slate and say, ‘What do you want to do?’… There have been no franchise expectations aside from dinosaurs.“

Gareth Edwards directed the movie, which is slated to hit theaters on July 2, 2025.
