Gov. Maura Healey mentioned she plans to run for reelection in 2026.
Throughout a radio interview Friday, Healey mentioned she is “really proud” of her document to date and “there’s a heck of a lot more to do.” The primary-term Democrat was the primary lady and brazenly homosexual candidate elected governor in Massachusetts.
“I plan to run for reelection because there’s a lot more to do. I love my job. I feel incredibly privileged to be in this position, and I’d love to have the opportunity to continue to work for the great people of this state,” she mentioned on GBH’s “Boston Public Radio.”
A number of Republicans, together with former cupboard secretary Mike Kennealy and Sen. Peter Durant, have mentioned they’re contemplating gubernatorial bids.
