Playing the Arts District stage for me is about honoring the spaces and people who built this culture before me, the ones who fiercely and courageously carved out spaces for my self-expression, resistance, and joy.
I’m absolutely gagged by the artists I’ll be sharing this stage with and will be out in the crowd supporting them; that’s one of my favorite things about the underground—we are there for each other.
