Carl Cox‘s return to Detroit’s Motion Pageant has been delayed by one 12 months, he introduced this week.
The British techno legend was slated to return for the primary time in eight years with a particular “Hybrid Live” efficiency. To the dismay of followers, he revealed that scheduling conflicts preclude him from delivering his hotly anticipated efficiency, which has now been postponed to 2026.
“I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but I promise to make it worth the wait,” Cox mentioned in a press release. “When I return, I’ll bring my full live show experience, and it’s going to be epic! Thank you for your understanding and continued support. See you all in 2026 for an unforgettable show!”
Whereas the postponement of Cox’s return to Hart Plaza is disappointing, Motion’s organizers have recruited a hometown legend to headline in his place. Detroit techno pioneer Jeff Mills will as a substitute shut out Motion’s fundamental stage on the primary evening of the competition.
Along with Mills, Motion 2025 will function performances by Charlotte de Witte, Chase & Standing, Boys Noize, Nina Kraviz, John Summit, Sara Landry, Jaime xx, Claude VonStroke and plenty of extra. You’ll find the complete lineup right here.
