An investigation right into a home hearth in Waterbury has led to the arrest of a girl accused of holding her stepson captive for many years.
The Waterbury Police Division together with personnel from the Waterbury Fireplace Division responded to a report of a hearth at a residence on Blake Road on Feb. 17 simply earlier than 8:45 p.m., based on Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police Division.

Detectives alleged that the person had been held in captivity for over 20 years, enduring extended abuse, hunger, extreme neglect and inhumane therapy, Bessette stated. “He was found in a severely emaciated condition and had not received medical or dental care during this time.”
