Few who know the long-lasting “Golden Girls” theme music lyric “Thank you for being a friend” would’ve guessed that, for Betty White, “friend” may embrace a candy deal with and a stiff drink.
Throughout an interview on Tuesday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” actor Meghann Fahy revealed a little-known tidbit about White throughout their time working collectively.
“Did you get to know Betty?” Kimmel requested the actor after revealing White and Fahy labored collectively on her first movie, the 2011 Hallmark film “The Lost Valentine.”
“A little bit,” Fahy recalled. “We crossed paths a bit, and she loved drinking vodka on the ice and eating chocolate cake for breakfast, like a real, true legend.”

This left Kimmel stunned — prompting him to remark that “she lived a very long time,” as he pressed for extra particulars on this newfound revelation.
“Was she drinking the vodka with the cake?” he requested.
“The White Lotus” actor jokingly replied, “Yes,” however rapidly amended her assertion and made it clear that White was a real skilled and wasn’t indulging whereas at work.

Fahy went on to replicate on how privileged she felt to have labored alongside White at such a younger age, confessing that she “learned that you can be as incredible as that and still be so human.”
The actor joked that her classes from White started along with her indulgences.
“I was about 20. I thought, ‘If that’s working for her, it’s definitely going to work for me,’” Fahy stated.
