RISE Competition's tenth Anniversary Illuminates the Mojave With Calvin Harris, RÜFÜS DU SOL and Extra

RISE Competition, the Mojave Desert’s soul-stirring gathering of sunshine and music, returns October 3-5 with a 10-year anniversary lineup bringing collectively world-class music, immersive artwork and an iconic sky lantern ceremony underneath the sky.

RISE positions itself as a “collective art project” the place 1000’s launch lanterns into the night time sky, every inscribed with goals, grief or gratitude. It’s an analog second in a digital world, with a lineup that matches the magnitude of the world’s largest sky lantern competition.

Headlining the three-day fest on Friday and Saturday are dance music superstars RÜFÜS DU SOL and Calvin Harris, respectfively. Sunday will then see guitar icon John Mayer helming the stage, underscoring RISE’s curatorial prowess of each digital and various sounds.

Nevertheless it’s not simply the headliners that burn shiny. The weekend journey into melodic depths continues with RISE’s spectacular undercard as Ben Böhmer, LP Giobbi, Oliver Heldens, Coco & Breezy and extra spherical out the festivities.

This 12 months, RISE is deepening its ritual with the debut of “The Path,” a meditative entry expertise designed to floor friends earlier than the primary beat lands or lantern lifts.
