Massachusetts State Police trooper crashes and flips cruiser on I-495

A statie responding to a crash ended up crashing his cruiser and flipping it on Interstate 495 Wednesday night, based on Mass State Police.

Shortly earlier than 7 p.m., a trooper assigned to the Andover Barracks was responding to a crash when “his cruiser crashed and overturned on Interstate 495 south shortly before the Lowell Connector,” MSP stated in a press release.

“The Trooper extricated himself from the cruiser and was transported via ambulance to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries,” the state company added.

The crash required officers to shut a part of the freeway. All lanes have since reopened.

The crash can be investigated in accordance with division coverage, MSP stated.
