Herald readers declare Downtown Crossing the worst MBTA station in Boston

MBTA Media Relations mentioned rider security is their “top priority,” and MBTA Transit Police Chief Kenneth Inexperienced has a patrol plan for the community.

“The successful plan involves the strategic deployment of both uniformed and plain clothes officers throughout the system,” mentioned MBTA Media Relations. “The MBTA also has tens of thousands of surveillance cameras that serve not only as a deterrent but also as a proven method for assisting detectives in solving crimes.”

One reader emailed us to emphatically declare Andrew the worst, citing its homeless inhabitants, rubbish and hen poop. “We have been complaining about this for years BUT no one does anything about it,” the reader wrote.

MBTA Media Relations mentioned their Station Brightening Initiative “focuses on deep cleaning and power washing our stations to improve their overall appearance.”

Boylston got here in third place within the ballot with 12.6% of the vote, infamous for its loud screeching.
