Barry Williams Claims ‘Brady Bunch’ Co-Stars ‘All Hooked Up With Each Other’ – The Boston Courier

Barry Williams is spilling tea in regards to the real-life hook ups between his “Brady Bunch” co-stars.

“We all hooked up with each other at some point,” the actor, 69, informed Us Weekly. “Not necessarily while we were filming.”

Williams starred because the eldest of the Brady sons, Greg Brady, on the ABC sitcom that aired from 1969 to 1974.

“I dated Maureen [McCormick], and Chris [Knight] dated Eve [Plum], and Michael [Lookinland] and Susan [Olsen] had a little mock wedding at one point. So, yes, we all hooked up,” he added within the story that was revealed Thursday.

McCormick performed Marsha, the eldest daughter, Knight and Plum starred as Peter and Jan, the 2 center youngsters, whereas Lookinland and Olsen performed Bobby and Cindy, the 2 youngest of the well-known fictional household.

Williams clarified that apart from the sibling flings, he had his eyes set on his TV mother, the late Florence Henderson, who performed Carol Brady.

“I had a teenage crush on her, for sure,” he defined. “And she’s got a very lively personality and great sense of humor, but I knew that I wanted to have music in my career [in] acting, and so I talked to her a lot about that.”

Williams went on to share that he as soon as took Henderson on a pseudo date, which he says elicited stares from individuals on account of their iconic mother and son dynamic on-screen.

“I had found this singer coming into the Copacabana near Beverly Hills,” he continued. “I can’t think of exactly where it was, but I invited her to go together as a date, and she said, ‘OK,’ so I was thrilled. And now for me, it was a date.”

“We were recognized, and so people were whispering about us, which is strange, but we talked about the singer, his orchestrations, the band that he had, and what touring was like,” Williams added.

Williams then recalled how he wrapped up his night out with Henderson by planting a “little kiss” on her, calling it the “highlight” of the evening.

“And she gave me an idea what that life would look like now at the end of the date. And this is chronicled in my book as well. I did go in for a little kiss, and she was nice enough to return it. So it was a highlight. Nice little peck, yes.”

Williams beforehand mentioned his date with Florence in his 1992 autobiography, “Growing Up Brady: I Was A Teenage Greg.”

Henderson addressed Williams’ feedback about their date within the FAQ web page of her web site.

“That whole thing with Barry got blown way out of proportion. I guess in a sense it was a date, because Barry thought it was. But of course, I had no idea that his intentions were to ‘date’ me. It has made for a good story though!” she mentioned.
