Bob Newhart, the beloved stand-up performer identified for his droll, deadpan humor and acclaimed CBS sitcoms, handed away Thursday morning on the age of 94. The Chicago-born comic, who received Grammy Awards for Album of the 12 months and Greatest New Artist for his 1960 breakthrough report The Button-Down Thoughts of Bob Newhart, died at his Los Angeles residence following a sequence of quick sicknesses, as introduced by his longtime publicist, Jerry Digney.
