Firefighters knocked down a heavy hearth in a multi-family Dorchester house Tuesday evening, in keeping with officers.
Boston firefighters responded at round 7:30 p.m. for a basement hearth at 15 Bruce St.
The hearth shortly traveled up by way of the constructing to the roof, and a third alarm was ordered.
“Heavy fire knocked down,” Boston Fireplace posted. “Companies did a great job working around the wires in the front of the building, throwing multiple ground and roof ladders to access the building.”
The hearth division added, “Firefighters continue work on the roof and off of ladders to reach hot spots throughout the building.”
