Boston ICE brokers arrest one other unlawful immigrant charged with baby intercourse crimes

Date:

An unlawful immigrant from El Salvador is in ICE custody after being arrested on 11 alleged intercourse crimes — together with aggravated rape of a kid, immigration officers introduced Friday.

Elmer Sola, 49, was arrested on Nantucket and now faces being deported after answering for his costs in Massachusetts.

He has already been arraigned in Nantucket Superior Court docket and arraigned on three counts of aggravated rape of a kid and eight counts of indecent assault and battery on a baby below 14, officers mentioned.

“Elmer Sola unlawfully entered the United States, then made his way into our Nantucket community before allegedly committing some horrific and despicable crimes against a child,” mentioned Todd M. Lyons, area workplace director for Enforcement and Removing Operations in Boston.

Lyons added, “The officers of ERO Boston will not tolerate such a threat to the children of our New England neighborhoods. We will continue to prioritize the safety of our public by arresting and removing egregious noncitizen offenders.”

Sola entered the U.S. illegally “on an unknown date at an unknown location, without being inspected, admitted, or paroled by an immigration official,” ICE mentioned.

Because the Herald reported this week, a Brazilian nationwide was arrested by immigration officers after being charged with sexually assaulting a Nantucket resident.

A day earlier ICE brokers arrested a 28-year-old Salvadoran nationwide who has been charged with raping a Nantucket baby.

It’s a troubling pattern that has but to let up.
