Boston Mayor Wu’s workplace journey to DC listening to price taxpayers k, information present

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu dropped almost $10,000 of taxpayer funds on journey lodging for her March journey to Washington, D.C., the place she confronted down a Congressional oversight committee probing town’s sanctuary insurance policies.

Wu introduced alongside 11 employees members to her high-stakes D.C. look, at a complete price of roughly $9,909, when factoring in lodge, flight, ride-share and different lodging, per receipts offered to the Herald after a public information request.

The mayor flew financial system each methods. She spent $348.79 on her flight and $855.48 for a two-night keep on the Hampton Inn & Suites Washington DC-Navy Yard lodge, for a complete of roughly $1,204, information present.

Lacking from the receipts have been lodge prices for Zwaeli and return flight and lodge prices for Pierre. The mayor’s workplace reached out to the Herald to make clear that Zwaeli and Pierre stayed with buddies and Pierre’s return was not at taxpayer price.
