Boston Police Division officers have been patrolling downtown late on Wednesday after they responded to a enterprise on Salem Road referred to as “Going Bananas” following a report {that a} man carrying all black was trying to interrupt into the comfort retailer.
Officers allege they arrived to seek out 24-year-old Elvin Clayton of Roxbury crouched in entrance of an open door to the enterprise. The police say that after they put eyes on Clayton, he was “seen stuffing items into his clothing before trying to walk away.”
After apprehending Clayton, police spoke with a witness who instructed them Clayton had approached them and requested to borrow a screwdriver. Police allege they discovered a sealed field of baseball playing cards and an unopened field of goodies hidden contained in the suspect’s pants.
