A Boston man faces animal cruelty costs after authorities say a video confirmed him abusing a canine named Pluto, together with by lifting it into the air by its leash.

Akeem Pierre, 42, was charged in municipal courtroom in Dorchester Thursday with animal cruelty and animal cruelty by a custodian. Decide Thomas Kaplanes launched Pierre on private recognizance and ordered him to keep away from Pluto.
