Boston police officer harm, suspect shot in Jamaica Plain

A Boston police officer investigating a stolen automotive report was struck by a person within the automotive within the Forest Hills MBTA station car parking zone, the police commissioner and DA reported.

Each the officer and suspect had been injured within the deadly confrontation — with the police officer in “stable” situation and the suspect “critical.”

“We wish all those involved a speedy recovery,” stated police Commissioner Michael Cox, “and anyone with information should call us.”

Cox stated as police approached the car, “the suspect operating the motor vehicle struck the officer.” That’s when the officer “discharged his weapon, striking the operator of the motor vehicle.”
