Boston Police are gearing up for a possible championship celebration exterior of the TD Backyard, warning drivers and pedestrians that streets across the area can be shut down on the halftime of Sport 4.
Although the Celtics stay in Dallas, officers anticipate tens of 1000’s of followers to flock to Causeway Avenue, for the sold-out watch get together contained in the Backyard or for festivities at different institutions.
In a site visitors advisory Friday afternoon, Boston Police alerted drivers and pedestrians that Causeway Avenue from North Washington Avenue to Merrimac Avenue can be closed, whereas all feeder roads off Causeway to New Chardon Avenue can even shut down, at halftime.
“There will also be no re-entry to any establishments within that area,” the advisory states.
Celtics followers offered out the Backyard’s first-ever watch get together Wednesday. They didn’t skip a beat in rooting for his or her hometown group, as Boston took a commanding 3-0 collection lead.
Tonight’s watch get together can also be offered out.
