Boston SWAT officers arrest barber store theft suspects, no injures reported

SWAT officers ended a standoff in Dorchester that ended with no accidents after a barber store was robbed.

Deputy Superintendent Joseph Gillespie mentioned a name got here in at 4:02 p.m. Thursday for a an armed theft in progress on Blue Hill Avenue in a barber store.

“On arrival, the offices discovered that the individuals inside a barber shop, the owner, we robbed by mask individuals who fled the scene,” Gillespie instructed reporters.

A motorcar concerned was quickly noticed within the space and the suspects had run into a house on Adams Avenue and that’s when the Boston Police SWAT staff and companion negotiators went into motion.

“After they negotiated and used deescalation tactics,” Gillespie mentioned, “two of the suspects were removed from the house without incident.” He added the third suspect remained and SWAT moved in and arrested him.

No accidents have been reported.

“I’d like to say how proud I am of our officers for their restraint and professionalism,” he added. The superintendent additionally thanked residents for his or her “patience” whereas SWAT did their jobs.
