Chappell Roan took to TikTok to slam individuals who thought she was “playing both sides” of the political spectrum after she critiqued each political events.
In a TikTok posted Wednesday morning, the singer expanded on a Tuesday TikTok during which she defended her remark to The Guardian that she didn’t really feel stress to endorse a presidential candidate as a result of there are “problems on both sides.”
“Obviously fuck the policies of the right, but also fuck some of the policies on the left,” Roan stated in Wednesday’s TikTok.

“I’m not gonna settle for the options that are in front of me,” she stated. “And you’re not gonna make me feel bad for that.”
In an interview revealed Friday, Roan instructed The Guardian, “I have so many issues with our government in every way. There are so many things that I would want to change. So I don’t feel pressured to endorse someone. There’s problems on both sides. I encourage people to use your critical thinking skills, use your vote — vote small, vote for what’s going on in your city.”
She additionally referenced trans rights within the upcoming election and stated cis folks shouldn’t make choices for trans folks.
In Wednesday’s TikTok, Roan clarified that she is voting for Vice President Kamala Harris however is just not “settling for what has been offered because that’s questionable.”
