Don Diablo Unveils New Drum & Bass Venture, CONTROL ALT DΞLΞTΞ

For Don Diablo, inventive reinvention isn’t only a metaphor—it is a command. With CONTROL ALT DΞLΞTΞ, his new drum & bass alias, the Dutch producer isn’t merely refreshing his sound, however executing a full-system reboot.

Hitting pause on his characteristically euphoric model of dance-pop, Diablo is as an alternative ushering in a surge of shadowy breakbeats and rugged basslines that might energy a cyberpunk rave. His alias’ debut single, a high-octane rework of Michael Sembello’s 1983 anthem “Maniac,” hijacks its neon soul and drags it right into a hyperkinetic future.

For Diablo, “Maniac” was a tune he remembers from childhood. The monitor’s unrelenting rhythm and hovering melodies have now been reanimated with a double-dose of driving synths match for the dancefloors of the long run. 

“With my new alias CONTROL ALT DΞLΞTΞ I am exploring a more bass music-focused side of myself as a producer,” Diablo stated in a press launch shared with EDM.com. “I have been in the studio nonstop these last few years, and this creative switch-up has given me so many new insights and ideas. I have been making bass music most of my life, but at the start of 2025, the timing feels perfect to launch this new project.”
