Reggaeton big Don Omar has joined Spotify’s Billions Membership, which incorporates songs which have surpassed one billion listens on the streaming service, with “Dile.”
The track was launched again in 2003, and was featured on Omar’s celebrated album, The Final Don.
It’s been a monumental 2024 for Don Omar, who kicked off his Again to Reggaetón Tour on March 7 on the Santander Enviornment in Studying, Pennsylvania. He went on to play 25 cities throughout the US, ending on April 21 on the Kaseya Middle in Miami.
“I’ve never had the opportunity to sing my entire repertoire because I never have enough time onstage. But this tour demands two full hours of music,” Don Omar instructed Billboard previous to his tour.
The run marked Don Omar’s first main headlining tour in a decade, his first because the Kingdom Tour with Daddy Yankee in 2015.
Through the interview, Omar defined how loads of his friends have been hoping to affix the tour earlier than it started. “Many are demanding, ‘Don’t leave me out of this!’ And I’m treating that like a privilege. If, after 25 years of career, your colleagues still feel love, happiness and the desire to share with you, you’ve done something right.”
In a 2023 interview with Rolling Stone, Omar additionally mentioned his profession, and the way far he has come since his humble beginnings within the trade.
When requested what recommendation he would give to his youthful self, he defined: “‘Don’t promote your values’ If I might inform 20-year-old Don Omar something, I might inform him that. And ‘please don’t hurt your self, you’re such an amazing man. Don’t let this trade injury you. Don’t let the evilness in individuals have an effect on you.’ This trade will not be value it.
“A lot of people put themselves in bad situations when they know they are good people. They have good intentions. But the masses are demanding a rough, tough guy. In harming yourself, you’re going to harm a lot of people. When you start caring, really caring for your people, you don’t harm them. You don’t put out the wrong message. Knowing something is wrong but it sounds cool? That’s irresponsible.”
