Bay State officers are hitting the fuel on a PSA marketing campaign that warns movers driving vehicles to keep away from Storrow Drive and different low-clearance roads, as faculty college students return to city.

Waze, Google Maps, and Apple Maps don’t alert truck drivers to keep away from Storrow Drive, Troopers Discipline Street, and Memorial Drive. However there are apps that inform truck drivers which roads to dodge, together with TruckMap and Hammer.
“So check the side of your truck for its measurements, they’re almost always on there, and then punch them into one of these apps before you leave,” DCR digital strategist Ryan Hutton says in a video.

“Make good choices, Boston, don’t get Storrowed!” town posted. “The height limit on Storrow Drive is 10 feet. Trucks — including moving trucks — are NOT allowed to travel on Storrow through the City of Boston.”
