A Dorchester teenager has been charged with assaulting a Mass State Police trooper, whereas a second teen is going through a gun cost in reference to the incident.
The firearm arrest of a 17-year-old led to the alleged assault on a number of staties and Boston cops — who have been surrounded and assaulted by a big group through the arrest of 19-year-old Dashaun James.
The Dorchester teen has been charged with assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
The incident was again on Feb. 27 at about 3 p.m. when Boston Law enforcement officials assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Drive, together with members of the Mass State Police Gang Unit, made a gun arrest of a 17-year-old male within the space of Washington Park Mall — an space of frequent requires photographs fired and unlawful firearms.
As officers approached the 17-year-old, a second juvenile fled the scene whereas clutching his waist. Officers recovered a loaded Glock 19 from the primary juvenile’s left jacket pocket. They recovered a second loaded firearm after they traced again the trail he was working.

Police approached the car and a battle ensued, leading to one trooper being assaulted and falling to the bottom. Throughout this assault, officers have been surrounded by about 20 folks.
Further Boston Law enforcement officials have been referred to as to the world. Upon arrival, officers noticed a number of members of the Boston Police Youth Violent Strike Drive and Mass State Police surrounded by a big group.
“The group was physically interfering with officers placing the suspect, who was resisting arrest, into custody,” the Suffolk DA’s Workplace wrote. “The group was seen pulling at officers’ clothing and pulling the suspect away while ignoring officers’ demands to move back.”
After the suspect was positioned in custody, James allegedly ignored a number of instructions to maneuver away. James circled the scene and caught his cellphone in an officer’s face.
Video from the scene and knowledge from troopers indicated that James had attacked a trooper earlier within the incident. The trooper sustained lacerations on his left eyebrow and to his left nostril.
The trooper was allegedly punched, kicked and positioned in a headlock earlier than extra officers arrived on scene.
Two different juveniles concerned have been recognized and will likely be arraigned at a later date. An investigation into extra suspects is ongoing.
“This was an extraordinary violation of civic order and a willful, reckless assault on the very people tasked with securing peace and safety in our neighborhoods,” Suffolk DA Kevin Hayden stated. “These troopers and officers found themselves in a violent and dangerous situation and proceeded to handle themselves with the highest level of professionalism.”
