Feed Me Reloads "One Click Headshot" With Remix Pack a Dozen Years After Authentic Launch

Date:

12 years in the past, Feed Me‘s “One Click Headshot” detonated within the ears of a burgeoning era of digital music followers.

Featured in Feed Me’s Escape From Electrical Mountain EP, the monitor was a frenetic ode to digital supremacy fueled by its iconic gamer’s monologue—lifted from the viral “FPS Doug” meme that immortalized the pulse-pounding adrenaline of first-person shooters.

This complextro masterpiece has now gotten a respawn, reimagined by a brand new era of genre-bending producers in an audacious 10-track remix pack that hits more durable than a triple kill.

“I’ve brought together a group of insanely talented producers I truly admire to reimagine ‘One Click Headshot’ on Sotto Voce,” Feed Me mentioned in a press release. “This track has a lot of history for me—I still remember the crazy two-day, no-sleep session when I first created it! Hearing it now through the lens of so many brilliant minds has been such a cool experience. Each rework brings something totally fresh and unique, and I couldn’t be more proud of the result. I can’t wait for you to hear these new versions and experience the journey all over again with me.”

If the unique “One Click Headshot” hinted on the impending marriage of gaming tradition and digital music in any capability, this remix EP cements it like a leaderboard engraved in digital marble. From the staccato synth barrages of Grafix’s drum & bass overhaul to Shadient’s dubstep rendition that slinks with calculated precision, the remixes inject a contemporary sense of urgency into the DNA of Feed Me’s unique.

In the meantime, EDDIE takes no prisoners in his remix, producing a relentless volley of hammering kicks and rapid-fire synths. However the true wildcard is Eater’s remix, a surreal take that appears like wandering into a wholly totally different degree of the sport. Embracing otherworldly lure inspiration and incorporating a left-field Squidward Tentacles pattern, it’s a glitch within the matrix that one way or the other suits the managed chaos of the broader EP.
