If BREAD was SOFI TUKKER‘s riskiest album but, their subsequent one, butter, is the sluggish soften that follows.
The duo at the moment introduced a brand new album, a breezy, jazz-inflected counterpart to 2024’s steamy BREAD. Due out Might sixteenth, butter reimagines SOFI TUKKER’s signature sound by the lens of Brazilian bossa nova and samba, and incorporates worldly influences like bolero, bachata and reggae, in keeping with a press launch.
The place BREAD was vibrant, brash and burning sizzling, butter smooths issues over with stringed prospers and a softer glow. The pair revamped fan-favorites like “Throw Some Ass” and “Woof” into stay sultry variations, and the primary single, a rework of “Bread” featuring Seu Jorge, drops May 2nd.
