With their new single, David Guetta and Oliver Heldens show that typically simplicity in lyrics can amplify the complexity of their emotion.
The chart-topping producers have joined forces for “Chills (Feel My Love),” a hovering dance anthem that is each acquainted and refreshingly revolutionary. Guetta’s signature manufacturing layers shimmering synths that spiral skyward whereas Heldens injects his playful contact with a bouncing bassline.
In the meantime, Quick Boy’s lyrics cascade atop their effervescent manufacturing like a tidal wave of emotion, evoking a uncooked honesty that cuts via the polished veneer of typical dance anthems. His lyrics, although easy, pulsate with a determined devotion, conveying a plea for connection that may dangle heavy within the air of music festivals.
Guetta and Heldens collectively debuted the observe on the mainstage of Extremely Miami in March, and it has been sending shivers down spines ever since.
“When I first heard the demo I knew there was something with ‘Chills,'” Heldens mentioned. “In the summer of 2023, I started testing an early demo at some of my shows but felt it wasn’t totally right, so I went back into the studio and kept reworking it until it got to a place where it sounded so big and fresh! I then sent it to David, who loved it. He put his touch on the record, and we all finished it up together.”
