Police from throughout the state joined a solemn honor procession to rejoice Endicott School Police Sgt. Jeremy Cole, who was killed by a suspected drunk, wrong-way driver within the early hours of Thanksgiving morning.

Cole, 49, was touring house from his job on the school campus in Beverly to rejoice Thanksgiving along with his household when he was struck head-on by a driver in a Tesla rushing the unsuitable means on Interstate 95 in Newbury.

“He was a wonderful man, loving father, proud family man and a protector of our campus. We miss him dearly,” mentioned Endicott Police Chief Kerry Ramsdell.

The glory procession happened at Campbell Funeral House in Beverly instantly previous to Cole’s wake Monday.

A 40-year-old New Bedford man has been charged with motorcar murder whereas working below the affect of liquor and working recklessly and manslaughter, amongst different costs, for the wrong-way crash.
