ICE Boston has deported an alleged youngster rapist and turned him over to Jamaican authorities, in line with ICE Enforcement and Removing Operations.
Albert George Davis, 59 — who had been illegally dwelling in New England — has been needed for years in his native nation to face fees of rape and sexual activity with an individual beneath 16 years of age.
ICE Boston final month deported Davis and turned him over to Jamaican authorities, who sought his arrest for the rape of a kid in 2020.
“Albert George Davis fled to Connecticut in an apparent attempt to avoid prosecution for the disturbing victimization of a child in Jamaica,” ERO Boston Deputy Discipline Workplace Director David Wesling stated in an announcement.
“He had been hiding out in our community for five years, but now he will be forced to face justice in his native country,” Wesling added.
Davis entered the U.S. lawfully in New York Metropolis on June 14, 2020, on a nonimmigrant visa.
Then a pair weeks later, the Saint Andrew Parish Court docket in Jamaica issued a warrant for Davis’ arrest for the offense of rape and sexual activity with an individual beneath 16 years of age. The U.S. State Division then revoked Davis’ nonimmigrant visa.
Officers from ICE Boston arrested Davis in Stamford, Connecticut, in Could of 2024 — and positioned him into elimination proceedings. Then in March of this yr, a Justice Division immigration decide ordered Davis faraway from the U.S. to Jamaica.
ICE Boston deported Davis from the U.S. to Jamaica on Aug. 21, and turned him over to Jamaican authorities.
