Massachusetts State Police are investigating after two automobiles crashed on I-95 early Thursday morning, together with one car authorities stated was touring the mistaken method.
The Newbury Fireplace Division responded at 12:05 a.m. Thursday to the northbound facet of I-95 close to exit 81 for a report of a two-vehicle crash. First responders discovered two passenger automobiles had crashed head-on on the freeway, the division stated in a press release.
“The operators of both vehicles, who were the sole occupants of the vehicles, were trapped inside the two cars, and firefighters began a lengthy and delicate extrication process to free both parties from the wreckage,” Newbury Fireplace Chief Dave Evans stated.
Fireplace officers stated that it grew to become obvious throughout the response and rescue efforts “that one motorist was traveling southbound, the wrong way, in the northbound lane when the crash occurred.”
