Individual jumps from Boston College Bridge onto Storrow Drive: Massachusetts State Police

An individual who was reportedly in a “mental health crisis” jumped from the Boston College Bridge onto Storrow Drive Thursday morning, in response to State Police.

Mass State Police troopers responded to the scene at round 9 a.m.

The person was aware and alert as they had been transported to the hospital, police stated.

No data was instantly obtainable in regards to the individual’s identification or their accidents.

Site visitors was snarled on Storrow amid the police exercise by the BU Bridge.

“The Massachusetts State Police would like to express our care and concern for those in mental health crisis,” a State Police spokesperson stated in a press release. “If you or a loved one are having emotional distress or thoughts of suicide, call 988 to connect with a lifeline specialist for support. 988 is free, confidential, and available 24/7, 365 days a year.”
