Prior to now two weeks, Trump has launched two controversial assaults on boats in worldwide waters, claiming they carried unlawful medication. The primary assault killed 11 individuals, and the second killed three. Venezuela’s inside minister mentioned that not one of the 11 individuals killed within the first assault have been members of Tren de Aragua, the gang Trump claimed he was concentrating on.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio claimed the assaults as self-defense, arguing that these suspected of smuggling medication pose “an immediate threat.” However critics and authorized students argue that suspected drug smuggling can’t legally be equated to an imminent armed assault.

Chatting with a crowd in Howell, Michigan, on Wednesday, Vice President JD Vance appeared to make mild of the assaults with a joke.
“I was talking to Secretary Hegseth, and you know what he said? He said, you know what, Mr. Vice President? We don’t see any of these drug boats coming into our country. They’ve completely stopped,” Vance mentioned.

“And I said, I know why. I would stop, too,” he continued. “Hell, I wouldn’t go fishing right now in that area of the world.”
