Amid the gossip, Simpson’s youthful sister, Ashlee Simpson, gave a one-word reply lately after being requested by TMZ if the “Dukes of Hazzard” star’s marriage to Johnson was in a turbulent state.
“Ashlee, fans are speculating that Jessica might be looking to get a divorce from her recent Instagram post,” reporters requested the “Boyfriend” singer, 40, in a clip shared by the outlet. “Do you know anything about it? Is it true? Do you know?”
“No,” she bluntly responded within the clip posted Nov. 14.
Nevertheless, it’s unclear which query the songwriter was answering.
In August 2023, Simpson gushed about her marriage to Johnson following their ninth anniversary, calling it “so easy.”
“It’s nuts. It’s kind of crazy. I feel like Eric and I have been together so much longer,” she instructed Folks on the time. “We have been together for a long time, but it feels like 20 [years]. My life before him, I had a blast.”
